Marcy P. Art Commissions

Hello! Thank you for requesting a commission from me. Here is some useful information regarding my commissions.
NOTE:
**Clients are required to read the guidelines carefully and thoroughly before making a request. After the client contacts the artist for a commission, they must reply confirming that they have read this documentation in its entirety. Failure to adhere to the following procedures or harassment/badgering via disagreement with the parameters of my commissions can result in the artist declining the commissioner’s request. Just as I treat my commissions with professionalism, clients are expected to do the same when purchasing a commission and respect the following regulations. Email me at marcyp2art@gmail.com for any questions or concerns. I ask that you use this email for business purposes only.**

COMMISSION GUIDELINES

GENERAL GUIDELINES
  • All commissions are done digitally and sent to the client digitally via email.
  • Email me at marcyp2art@gmail.com for a commission, details on prices, or any form of business inquiries regarding my commissions.
  • Clients are expected to deliver the most potent information of their commission request, and therefore, required to be as specific as possible with their request. Personal reference sheets, color palettes, and any visual aid regarding the chosen character can be sent to the artist for more accurate clarification.
  • Fictional characters, real people, animals and pets, and original characters (OCs) can be requested for a commission. Extra characters will result in a fee and the client is limited to 5 characters within a single commission.
  • Small props, weapons, a piece of furniture, and minor elements such as particle effects can be included with the character commissioned. However, larger objects such as automobiles, fragmented building structures or anything indicating an interior or exterior is not allowed in the commission.
  • A rough draft of the commission (in low resolution) will be submitted to the client before the cleanup process of the commission. After the client approves the rough concept and no further changes are needed, the artist will continue to the finalization of the commission.
  • Alterations requested after the final version of the commission has been sent to the client will result in a fee depending on the amount of work needed to be done.
  • For the time being, interior, exterior, or abstract/patterned backgrounds will not be provided for these types of commissions. A solid fill with the color of the client’s choice or plain white background will be provided behind the character. There is also the option of receiving a transparent PNG file featuring only the character.
  • Art depicting discriminatory and derogatory themes or explicit sexual content cannot be commissioned. I have the right to decline a commission if the subject makes me uncomfortable to draw.

PAYMENT GUIDELINES

  • I accept payments in USD via PayPal (please send the money to marcyp2art@gmail.com). If you are unable to send USD or are not accessible to a PayPal, email me as soon as possible to discuss other alternatives for payment. PayPal does have a currency conversion feature for international payments.
  • If you are making payments outside of the US, I will use PayPal to convert the currencies to USD. Keep in mind that international clients may have to pay extra to meet the payment requirements for my commissions. For example, if a commission is $25 in USD and the payment is sent in CAD, the commissioner will pay ($)32.98 in CAD.
  • If a client wishes to send payments via check, full payment via checks must be received by the artist before the client is given the final version of the commission. Prior to the deliverance of payment, the client has already approved of the rough draft of the illustration and the artist has finished the final version of the commission.
  • Half of the payment will be required before I start the final commission and after I’ve completed the rough draft. NOTE: I cannot start on the final product until the first payment has been received.
  • Before the client receives the finalized, high resolution of the commission, they must pay the remaining amount of the payment. NOTE: The final product cannot be sent until the second payment has been received.
  • In order to receive payments in a punctual manner, clients have no more than four days to deliver payments for the commission. At the end of the fourth day (11:59 p.m. EST), if the payments have not been sent on time, the client will not receive their commission and further rendition to the commission will be cancelled. This applies to both the first and second half of the payments. The first half of the payment is and will be non-refundable.
